Claire Pickert was born and raised in the Kansas City area. Her desire to help others and a passion for science compelled her to pursue a career in medicine. She attended Washburn University for her undergraduate education and received her physician assistant training at the University Of Oklahoma School Of Community Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At the University of Oklahoma, she was the recipient of a scholarship that recognized her academic achievement and dedication to quality, patient-centered care.
During her training, Claire developed a love for primary care because it allowed her to build meaningful connections with her patients as she invested in their care. She appreciates the variety of primary care and enjoys caring for patients of all ages. Claire believes in treating the whole person and works to build a partnership with her patients to strive for optimal health in all aspects of their lives. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Claire moved to Eugene from Tulsa in March with her fiancé, Eric, and their cat, Summer. As a lifelong Midwesterner, she is excited to explore the Pacific Northwest and embrace the laidback culture that it does so well. As an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and stand-up paddleboard, she will be taking recommendations for what trail, mountain, or lake she needs to check out next. She also enjoys getting creative in the kitchen, hanging out at coffee shops, and going to concerts. She is looking forward to meeting you!
